Today, the National Policing Institute’s Center for Targeted Violence Prevention and Michigan State University’s Department of Psychiatry released a special report in which we analyzed an averted school shooting in Paw Paw, Michigan. Tragically, shortly after his release from a juvenile facility the plotter committed a homicide/suicide. Through the case study and the lessons learned we hope to inform targeted violence prevention policies and practices.
